ESI Celebrates 25 Years October 23, 2012

ESI is celebrating their 25th anniversary. Founded in 1987, ESI (Estech Systems) continues to be privately held and is headquartered in Plano, Texas. Initially housed in founder Eric Suder's garage, ESI now employs over 100 people, boasts a network of over 600 certified resellers, and has sold over 300,000 business phone systems to small and medium sized businesses. NEC DSX Adds Wireless IP DECT Phone September 23, 2012

The NEC DSX telephone system now provides the convenience of mobility in the home or office with their ML440 Wireless IP DECT Handset in combination with the AP20 Access Point. This combination of the latest VoIP and DECT communication technologies will support up to 30 ML440 handsets on a single cell. Multiple cell applications can include up to 20 access points with 30 handsets registered to each access point. This provides an extremely versatile solution for environments that require users to be mobile over a wide area, such as in a manufacturing or warehouse facility.

VVX500 Touch Screen Phone Now Available with FreedomIQ April 12, 2012

FreedomIQ has unveiled a touch screen desktop phone - the Polycom VVX500. This is the most intuitive phone available with the FreedomIQ service to date.

The phone's display functions much like current smart phones, allowing faster and more intuitive navigation of options. The color display also allows viewing of tutorials directly from the phone's display, and integration with Microsoft Outlook provides access to contacts, calendar items and pop up reminders. Two USB ports provide an easy way to upload screen saver photos.
