VVX500 Touch Screen Phone Now Available with FreedomIQ

FreedomIQ has unveiled a touch screen desktop phone - the Polycom VVX500. This is the most intuitive phone available with the FreedomIQ service to date.
The phone's display functions much like current smart phones, allowing faster and more intuitive navigation of options. The color display also allows viewing of tutorials directly from the phone's display, and integration with Microsoft Outlook provides access to contacts, calendar items and pop up reminders. Two USB ports provide an easy way to upload screen saver photos.

FreedomIQ TalkText Now With Unlimited Transcriptions

FreedomIQ hosted VoIP customers can now enjoy unlimited voice mail transcriptions for a flat monthly fee when they subscribe to FreedomIQ's TalkText service. In addition to receiving voice mail notifications with an attached audio file, TalkText users will also receive a text transcription of the voice mail audio content.

Allworx 48x Wins 2011 Best Channel Product Awards

The Allworx 48x VoIP business phone system received the 'Best Channel Product of 2011' award in the categories of 'IP PBX' and 'IP Phone'. The awards were determined based on a web-based survey conducted by Business Solutions Magazine in partnership with Penn State University. A total of 11,711 votes were cast in the course of the survey.
ESI Introduces ESI 60 and ESI 40 Business Phones

ESI has released two new desktop phones: the ESI 60 Business Phone and the ESI 40 Business Phone. Both phones are available in either IP or digital versions and are fully compatible with ESI's current Communications Servers and its upcoming IP Server 900.
The ESI 60 Business Phone includes two backlit LCD displays, 48 desi-less programmable buttons, Visual Voice Mail, an integrated headset jack and a full-duplex, HD speakerphone. The IP versions can support either 10/100 or 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) connection speeds.
The smaller ESI 40 Business Phone also includes a backlit LCD display, 16 programmable buttons and an integrated headset jack.

FreedomIQ Adds Caller ID Based Call Routing

FreedomIQ has enhanced the custom call routing capabilities of their hosted VoIP phone service. Calls can now be routed based on the number a caller dials or the number that they are calling from. This flexibility provides a number of possibilities, including special handling of calls from important numbers, rerouting of nuisance calls, or even georouting of calls to the nearest service location based on the area code of the caller.
